Chapter 9: Surplus Disposal – Creating the Transaction

Regardless of the disposal method, the first step in the process is entering the disposal request into the Asset Works system. Since the assets are located throughout the state, the information that is sent to Surplus must be complete and accurate. Specific instructions for completing a Transaction Request are found in the Asset Works User Guide.
