Recently, Favor Academy of Excellence, Inc. reduced costs and strengthened its budget by using the Georgia Department of Administrative Services’ Surplus Property program to obtain gently used office furniture for its classrooms.

The academy reported significant savings as a result of the acquisition. Those savings allowed the organization to redirect more of its budget toward its core mission: providing specialized programs and services for high‑needs youth.

With the new additions to its classrooms, Favor Academy said the Surplus Property program helped it secure essential assets needed to create a professional, comfortable learning environment. Since receiving the furniture, the academy has been able to quickly establish the full range of services required to support students in a wellness focused setting.
