Return to Work

The Return-To-Work (RTW) Program is an innovative approach to assisting employees with occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses to return to full productivity. We value the contributions of our state employees, and our philosophy is to control the effects of disability and absenteeism in the workplace and assist injured or ill employees so that they may fully recover and to return to their normal activities as soon as possible. We offer employee access to transitional duties that are approved by his or her physician. This could be as simple as a flexible schedule to permit attendance at medical and therapy appointments, or an assignment to a special project that provides duties suited to physical limitations.
