To enhance work-life balance, the State provides eligible employees up to 120 hours of maternal birth leave in the three weeks immediately following childbirth and up to 240 hours of paid parental leave each year. Maternal Birth Leave Resources
The state law establishing Maternal Birth Leave (MBL) for eligible employees becomes effective July 1, 2026. Resources for administering MBL will be added in the near future.
